I know there are a lot of kids that get them all at once and are totally fine. There are some that get really sick, though. If X is going to be one of the "sick" ones (hopefully not!), I feel better about him being a little older. Also, he was so cranky after the first shot we gave him, that I'd rather space it out a little!

The flu shot is almost always stabilized in thimerisol, which has mercury in it. I really don't want to put heavy metals in my kid. And they can only guess on which strain of flu is going to hit the public that year, so very often the flu shot is ineffective because it was for a different strain!

Are you getting Connor the shot for chicken pox? I rememeber having it at 8 and it sucked but wasn't really that big a deal... I hear if you're an adult it can be really horrible.
